Dame Trelise Cooper established her iconic fashion design business in the early 1980s with her first boutique opening in 1985.  The Trelise Cooper international reputation is recognised by magazines such as Vogue and Marie Claire, with styles worn by many international celebrities. Trelise also produces

Trelise Cooper Interiors, a fabric range made in association with textile house Charles Parson and her signature 'Trelise' fragrance was launched in late 2009. Trelise was named a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2004 and elevated to a Dame in the 2014 New Year Honours list.

Dame Trelise is a patron of the Breast Cancer Research Trust and Auckland RSA and supports Habitats for Humanity. Dame Trelise also sponsors Tomorrow's Foundation, a charity in India and undertakes volunteer work for Women's Refuge, St James Mission Food Bank and Crisis Centre.
