Bayleys was founded on humble beginnings in 1973 by Graham and Pam Bayley and their eldest son, John – running the business from the family home in the South Auckland suburb of Pakuranga. A year later, their second son, David, joined the family business.

Over the past 46 years, John and David have been partners in the business – growing Bayleys Real Estate into what is now New Zealand’s largest full-service real estate agency – encompassing sales in the commercial and industrial, residential, and rural real estate sectors, as well as operating the country’s largest property management and property services division. The company now employs some 1800 staff in 92 offices.

Bayley Corporation and its franchise network support hundreds of community groups, schools, sporting and cultural organisations/events/teams, and charitable entities throughout New Zealand. Bayleys is also the principal sponsor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
