Sir Dryden Spring
Sir Dryden Spring has spent a lifetime at the forefront of New Zealand business, in a wide range of industries, particularly in the agriculture and banking industries. He was chair of the NZ Co-operative Dairy Company from 1982 to 1989, and then chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board for the following 10 years. Sir Dryden also represented New Zealand's interests in Asia for many years as a member of the APEC Eminent Persons Group which drafted the APEC Vision of Free and Open Trade in the Asia Pacific, and the APEC Business Advisory Council. He was also a trustee of the Asia NZ Foundation for 10 years and Chairman for five years.
Sir Dryden was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science by Massey University in 2000, and knighted in 1994 for services to the dairy industry sector and to New Zealand.
