Dame Trelise Cooper established her iconic fashion design business in the early 1980s with her first boutique opening in 1985. Trelise Cooper Interiors, a fabric range made in association with textile house Charles Parson and her signature 'Trelise' fragrance was launched in late 2009. Trelise was named a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2004 and elevated to a Dame in the 2014 New Year Honours list.
Dame Trelise is a patron of the Breast Cancer Research Trust and Auckland RSA and supports Habitats for Humanity. Dame Trelise also sponsors Tomorrow's Foundation, a charity in India and undertakes volunteer work for Women's Refuge, St James Mission Food Bank and Crisis Centre.
